Leela, a young girl from a small village of India. Leela who loved colors, patterns and admired saree draping of village women was intrigued to know more about this classic attire. The sarees had a story of their own, each different in the design.

One sweet day while strolling through the local market, Leela passed a bundle of shiny fabric attracting her eyes with light. This saree was unlike anything she had ever seen —the fine embroidery and the delicate sequins created an image of sheer grace and beauty. Leela was eager to make it hers and saved every single rupee she earned working with her family at their farm.

A feeling of pleasure and accomplishment swathed Leela the first time she managed to wrap it around her once she bought herself that precious saree.

The saree that seemed to exude tradition and culture, as though in its drapes were tales of ages gone by.

After this incident, Leela wore the silk sari at every important occasion in the village. Whether she was dancing with glee in festivals, attending wedding ceremonies, or performing pujas at auspicious events, it always remained a part of her identity and roots.

Years went by and Leela aged with grace, finally handing down the saree to her daughter. She also shared the stories behind the garbs and anecdotes related to them, no doubt adding a whisk of tradition and love in-between it all.

The saree, therefore, became timeless and connected the past to the present through a vibrant essence of elegance.

Such is the story of every Indian woman and her saree — this simple piece of cloth represents traditions, memories & culture beautifully intertwined with each other!
